Reflection

Hope Hummingbird's first solo exhibition, a family portrait of creatives and venues in Austin.

Over several months Hope Hummingbird interviewed, photographed and created one-of-a-kind porcelain portraits to serve as a timeless reminder of the vibrant artistic tapestry of Austin.

By adorning walls with these portraits arranged like a family album, Reflection prompts viewers to reflect on the fleeting nature of the present moment, urging them to appreciate and celebrate the diverse talents shaping their surroundings.

Alongside the portraits, there were porcelain impressions of the footprints of the featured local creatives to be a tangible representation of the ephemeral moments of interaction with individuals in the community. Each footprint symbolizes a unique encounter and the importance of being grateful for these moments.
